Aery Pear

My name is Ærinn, usually spelled Aerinn. I am an Artist who tends to enjoy dabbling in voice acting, singing, and other various things.

I'm a trained artist, beginning training at 9 years old with the Baum School, before transferring to other various studios and then landing with Myron Barnstone who redefined art to me. I graduated from a charter arts high school in 2016, and continued in independent studies.

Prices are subjected to change if the commissioned art piece exceeds base price sets. All base price sets are based on medium stylistic choices, and the artist dictates, based on references and descriptions provided if your piece is under or exceeds price sets.

Please keep the following (and provide to the artist at time of commission) in mind:
◽The artist will need a description of what it is you want. Length does not matter, but please try to not contradict yourself unless stating you're leaving the choice up to the Artist.
◽The more references you provide pointing out what in the references you want to see in your piece, the better.
◽Please keep in mind that if you're creating an Original Character, any clothing you provide that is copyrighted (i.e. Art of clothing designs, runway show designs, fashion magazine designs etc) will be altered and changed to fair use laws. If you bought an outfit design, please provide link to the artist where you bought the outfit for easy cross reference verification. (Exception to this rule are MMO Characters.)
◽If the artists asks additional questions, answer to the best of your ability. If the artist echoes back what you're commissioning, understand it's a form of verification that they have the order correct.

History in Art

Baum School Piece in 2005

Becoming an artist was something I desired for as long as I could hold a pencil. The magic of creativity being captivating when I was showed that power via scribbling nonsense onto paper and calling it art. Some of which for the longest time my mother kept. (I'm happy most of it is in the garbage now.)

Despite it being my passion from a small age, my mind wasn't thinking fully long term. Well it was, but not as soon as 9 years old. Mom saw clear passion and desire and enrolled me into the Baum School of Art Children's Art class. Where hilariously the teacher for the class was none other than my art teacher from school. I would go on to spend 4 more years with the Baum School, taking their ceramics class, painting class, photoshop class, and flash class. Many of these things becoming the driving base line for my current art work.

There was down time in between Baum School and my next artistic education, but during that time I was exploring music, writing, and sports. Staying close to the arts but exploring. At some point taking on a mini art Class with a Master Artist that was hosting in the area. For the life of me I have no Idea who she was, unfortunately. Then another point attended the Banana Factory for a Watercolor Class. Random things here and there that didn't drive home how not superflous art was until I attended Barnstone Studios in 2010.

From random menial doodles with a vague understanding of the complexities of art, I learned core concepts such as the golden ration/section, how to measure, the importance of rhythm and flow, composition and themes. Everything that I was essentially missing in my training, he could supply. Going to his studio though was not happenstance, however.

Self Portrait 2012

Middle school was a rough time for me. Hormonal growth wasn't fun, depression, mental illnesses; everything weighed on me heavily. The saying "Artists create their best works under depression and stress" couldn't have been the farthest from being true for me, and it showed heavily in my work. However, despite all of this, I needed to create an art portfolio in order to be accepted into a Highschool Art school. The rejection letter came, rejection due to circumstance and not being in the right head space. While I wallowed in my failure, my mom on the other hand sought out Myron Barnstone Studios, remembering way back when that she initially wanted to enroll me into his Studio course when I was younger but didn't due to the Adult targeted demographic classes.

I was by no means an adult yet, 14 with zero faith in myself to be found. However, mom took the leap of faith. Gathered me and my failed portfolio, drove to the studio, and had a meeting with Myron. Myron was understandably more interested in my mother being his student than I, her being a draftsman and him having trained many draftsmen into proper artists, however he did look at my portfolio that failed. Needless to say he didn't have much to say. Which was perfectly fair in hindsight but ate me up at the time.

Feminine bust 2014

My mom signed up for the courses with me and together worked on the homework, bonding over the experience and her learning the terminology that still aids her today when talking and discussing art with me. Despite her only taking a handful of the classes before dropping out, I continued my studies under Barnstone, before trying out at the same school the following year.

With better ease this time than last, with new tools under my belt and a stronger portfolio at my disposal, I got the acceptance letter. A hard lesson learned in the importance of "If at first you don't succeed, try try again." Due to the hectic lifestyle of school and additional art work, I unfortunately had to drop out of Barnstone Studios. Something that I can't necessarily say I regret with the knowledge of the chaos the school had created with my academic life, but truly an unfortunate situation. As I would no more and graduate in July of 2016 and Myron would pass away in October of 2016.

After graduating, I continue in independent studies, bettering myself and my art, and fine tuning what I had learned. While many of the things I learned, and was using, it was only later that I would truly understand their purposes. I would further draw insperation and creativity knowing I had the skills to create what I would imagine.

However, I would never forget the fleeting dream I had where Myron pulled me back to the art studio with gear and equipment that weren't functional, functioning as if time never passed. Coming up to me, telling me how proud he was and that he was certain that if I kept at it, kept exploring and learning, I would have a seat in hell waiting for me and all the other great artists (As apparently there are no alcohol in heaven according to him) and he'd have a scotch with my name on it as well. After which, he would rise from his seat and walk towards the library to then seemingly disappear. Upon waking did I realize why my final project in Drawing one of his class was a failure and spent the sequential weeks leading to his memorial service recreating the final project the right way. "Use everything you have learned."
